Defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continued their winning streak in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season with an amazing 4-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans (GT) on Tuesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. A comprehensive effort from the batters as well as the bowlers helped the five-time IPL champions register their second win of the season. Earlier in the tournament opener, CSK went on to beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by a comfortable margin of 6 wickets.

During yesterday's game against Gujarat Titans, Chennai Super Kings' experienced player Ajinkya Rahane took a phenomenal catch near the boundary line to send back David Miller at a crucial juncture. He tumbled over at the deep mid-wicket region and took a stunning catch with two hands. Rahane also showed his presence of mind during the previous game against Royal Challengers Bangalore where him and Rachin Ravindra took a superb catch to pick up the prized scalp of Virat Kohli.

While talking about the 7th encounter of the Indian Premier League 2024 season, the Chennai Super Kings posted a massive total of 206 for 6 in their quota of 20 overs. For CSK, Shivam Dube smashed a blistering knock of 51 runs off just 23 balls that included 5 sixes and 2 fours. Both skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rachin Ravindra also provided an excellent start at the top.
On the other hand, the Gujarat Titans had a really poor outing with the bat having been restricted to 143 for 8. None of their batters managed to convert their start into a big innings. For CSK, the trio of Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman and Tushar Deshpande took two wickets each.
