The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have joined hands with Pakistan star cricketers Imad Wasim, Mohammed Amir and Fakhar Zaman for their upcoming edition of the Caribbean Premier League. These Pakistan national cricketers will be seen debuting in the renowned CPL 2024 season. Apart from these Pakistan cricketers, the Australian spinner Chris Green and Afghan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai are also among the overseas signings.
The Falcons have signed some big players in their squad for the upcoming season having players like Brandon King, Fabian Allen and West Indian 17-year-old batter Jewel Andrew, who showcased his talent while playing for West Indies in the Under-19 World Cup earlier this year.
After signing 12 players in the auction, the Falcons are left with only five more players at the draft in July to round off their squad. The other notable signings for CPL 2024 include Tim David and Jason Roy (Trinbago Knight Riders), Heinrich Klaasen (St Lucia Kings), and Wanindu Hasaranga and Tristan Stubbs (St Kitts Nevis and Patriots).
Antigua and Babuda will be playing their first season of CPL as a new franchise in place of Jamaica Tallawahs, which was disbanded after its owners stated that they were not able to run it sustainably.
