After India's victory over South Africa in the finals of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, India lost the services of one of the best all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja as he announced his retirement from T20 internationals after representing the Indian team in 74 T20I matches, where he has scored 515 runs with an average of 21, having a high score of 46 in the shorter format of the game with 54 wickets. Jadeja has represented the Indian team for 11 long years in T20I cricket and has played some crucial match-winning knock for the Indian team, weather it's through his fielding, batting or accurate bowling. Through this article, we are going to show you the best performances made by the star Indian all-rounder in T20Is.

After making his T20I debut against Sri Lanka in 2009 at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, the southpaw batter was picked to make his ODI debut in the same series. However, he got a chance to play in the final match of the 3-match ODI series, where he scored 60 runs in his debut match. It was the time when the  Indian team were searching for an all-rounder who could bowl 4 overs of spell and bat in the lower down order with Tailendras and Jadeja, completely fit in that position after Yusuf Pathah were unable to score runs. Jadeja replaced him in the number 7 position in the 2009 series against Sri Lanka in Cuttack, for which he was awarded the man of the match award by picking 4 wickets and giving 32 runs. 

Best Batting Performance

Ravindra Jadeja's best batting performance came against  England, during the 2nd T20I in Birmingham, where he scored an unbeaten 46 off 29 balls, helping India reach 170/8 after being 89/5. 

The game started with England winning the toss and opting to field first at Birmingham ground, India made a great start by scoring 49 runs in the first 6 overs of powerplay, where the Indian Captain Rohit Sharma scored 31 runs in 20 balls with wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, scoring 26 runs in 15 balls with a strike rate of 173. However, India didn't capitalise on the start given by the openers as they lost 3 wickets in a span of 40 runs before Ravindra Jadeja came to the crease and played like a lone wolf for the Indian team, where he scored 46 runs in 29 balls, hitting 5 boundaries taking Men in Blue to a respectable total of 170 runs in 20 overs, which was later defended by Indian bowlers by 49 runs.

Best Bowling Performance

The Star Indian bowler's best bowling performance came against Scotland, where he managed to pick 3 wickets for just giving 15 runs in his 4 over of spells in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup at Dubai International Stadium. However, One of his epic performances in international cricket came against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2016, where he took 2/11 in three overs against arch-rivals Pakistan.
