Sunrisers Hyderabad won their 2nd consecutive game in the Indian Premier League after defeating Punjab Kings yesterday at Mullanpur Stadium in Mohali by just 2 runs. This nail-biting match went till the last over, where Punjab Kings needed 9 runs in 2 balls, and Shashank Singh hit a six on the final ball to make the margin of loss to 2 runs. After winning the toss. Punjab Kings decided to bowl first on the new home ground against the strong batting line-up of Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have recently scored the highest total of the Indian Premier League against Mumbai Kings at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Punjab Kings were coming into this game after a biting encounter against Gujarat Titans, where they won the game in the final ball of the innings with the help of sensational Shashank Singh and Young Ashutosh Sharma.
In yesterday's game, Punjab made a solid start by picking 5 wickets over Hyderabad on 100 runs. However, Nitish Reddy and Abdul Samad handled the pressure of Sunrisers Hyderabad by forming a partnership of 50 runs for the 6th wicket, which helped the Hyderad-based franchise lead to a total of 182 runs on the scoreboard.

The swing king looked in his old form with the new ball as he gave away just 15 runs from his 3 overs in the powerplay while taking Prabhsimaran Singh's wicket and captain Shikhar Dhawan, who found himself unplayable against the Indian bowler.
