It was a series-decider at home against Australia in 2013, the mighty Indian opening batsman came to the fore with a spectacular innings of 209 runs off just 158 balls that included as many as 16 sixes and 12 fours. He smacked the Australian bowlers in all parts of the ground and helped India post a mammoth total of 383 for 6 in their quota of 50 overs. The Indian cricket team went on to win that series-deciding encounter by a margin of 57 runs. During that seven-match ODI series against Australia at home, Rohit looked in a tremendous form having scored a total of 491 runs with a superlative average of 122. 

2. Rohit Sharma 264 vs Sri Lanka

The cricket updates went viral and the experts were stunned when Rohit Sharma smacked a colossal innings of 264 runs off 173 deliveries against Sri Lanka at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It was in 2014 when the current Indian captain scored his second double hundred in the 50-overs format of the game. Rohit blasted a total of 33 fours and 9 sixes and after that knock he was famously called the 'Hitman of Cricket'.
