Phil Salt didn’t take much time to tap into the fireworks at Chepauk, sending Khaleel Ahmed for two consecutive fours in the opening over. Ravi Ashwin came in next, getting thrashed for a six and two fours as RCB swiftly asserted their dominance. In four overs, the visitors raced to 37 as CSK tried Sam Curran and Noor Ahmed in the powerplay itself. However, the pair of Noor Ahmed and MS Dhoni, who orchestrated the dismissal of Suryakumar Yadav in their IPL 2025 opener, repeated their heroics. On the last ball of the fifth over, Ahmed lured Salt slightly out of the crease.
