The Delhi Capitals Women’s team, two-time finalists in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), is determined to break its streak of near-misses as they gear up for the third edition of the tournament. The Capitals showcased yet another stellar campaign in the previous season, dominating the league stage by finishing at the top of the leaderboard with six wins and only two losses. However, their hopes of lifting the coveted trophy were dashed once again as they fell short in a tightly contested final against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, ending as runners-up for the second consecutive year.

Among the retained Indian players are explosive opener Shafali Verma and consistent middle-order batter Jemimah Rodrigues, both of whom play pivotal roles in the team’s top order.

This time, they hope to go all the way and finally claim the championship.
