The inaugural edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL 2024) is set to kickstart from 17 August, 2024 while the grand finale will take place on 8 September, 2024. As many as 33 matches will be played in the upcoming Men's edition of the T20 tournament and all of these games are scheduled to be played at the Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi. On the other hand, a total of seven games will be held in the Women's edition of the Delhi Premier League 2024. A total of six teams namely South Delhi Superstars, East Delhi Riders, Central Delhi Kings, North Delhi Strikers, West Delhi Lions and Purani Dilli 6 will be competing in the Men's edition of the T20 competition. Some of the star players like Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma will be featuring in the Delhi Premier League 2024 alongwith the likes of Ayush Badoni, Harshit Rana, Yash Dhull, Navdeep Saini and Anuj Rawat.

Both the Mens and Womens editions of the Delhi Premier League 2024 will be live broadcasted on Sports18 and Jio Cinema app. This will be a great opportunity for the players as they will get a platform to showcase their talent and skills. On the other hand, the Delhi Cricket Team will also benefit from this T20 competition as they will have a large pool of players to select in the other state domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy and Vijay Hazare. 

“The concept has been doing the rounds for a few years, but we took a step and decided to put it in place this season after approval from BCCI only to make sure that it is a good platform for players to show their talent and come up the ranks,” DDCA President Rohan Jaitley told in a recent interview.
