In the latest news coming out from the Indian Premier League, Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson pointed out RCB's team management after dropping Chahal from their team in the 2022 IPL season despite knowing that he is a match-winner for the team, where he can pick wickets in the middle overs of the innings and put pressure on batsman by bowling dot balls. However, due to the mega-auction, the team management chased to buy back him after dropping him from the team, which was of no reason.
Talking further, on Rajasthan Royal bowler on Jio Cinema, Watson said RCB management lacks adequate cricketing knowledge; otherwise, they wouldn't have let Yuzi leave in 2022.
"There’s definitely someone at RCB who doesn't know much about cricket. That's why he let Yuzi Chahal go," Watson said on Jio Cinema.
However, after knowing that RCB former team director Mike Hesson was also standing beside him who was a part of the management that decided to release Yuzi, he had to clarify his statement saying he wasn't mentioning Hesson.
"I am not talking about this great man here," Watson clarified.
After being dropped from the Bangalore-based franchise in the 2022 season, the Leg Spinner performed brilliantly for the Rajasthan Royal franchise by being the top-wicket taker of the IPL 2022 season.
