BRILLIANT SHOW! The Gujarat Titans (GT) have managed to seal a pretty convincing 58-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Sai Sudharsan contributed with a phenomenal innings with the bat while it was a sensational collective effort by the bowlers that helped the Gujarat Titans pick up their fourth win in a row this season. With this emphatic win, the Shubman Gill-led GT team have claimed the top position on the IPL 2025 points table as they have managed to win 4 matches from their 5 games so far in the ongoing edition of the t20 tournament. 

Sudharsan-Prasidh dominant show help Gujarat sail through in the GT vs RR IPL 2025 match

After having lost the toss and being asked to bat first, hosts Gujarat Titans did not had the best of starts as skipper Shubman Gill was sent back to the pavilion with just 14 runs on the scoreboard. The duo of Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler then joined hands to bail their team out of trouble with a fine partnership of 80 runs. Both Buttler and Shahrukh Khan got impressive starts each but they failed to convert them into a big knock.

However, it was the Sai Sudharsan show that once again stood out at the top as the Gujarat Titans' promising youngster smashed a brilliant innings of 82 runs off just 53 deliveries that included 8 fours and 3 sixes. Towards the end, Rahul Tewatia smashed an unbeaten cameo of 24 runs to help the Gujarat Titans finish with an above-par total of 217 for 6 in their quota of 20 overs. For the Rajastha Royals, the duo of Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana ended up taking two wickets each. 

In reply, it was once again a disappointing start for the Rajasthan Royals at the top losing the crucial wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Rana cheaply. The Rajasthan Royals never really got any momentum throughout the run-chase and they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. For the Gujarat Titans, in-form pacer Prasidh Krishna turned the match on its head by taking three important wickets of RR captain Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer and Jofra Archer. He capped off an excellent spell having conceded just 24 runs in his quota of four overs. 

Shimron Hetmyer gave an excellent fight till the end, scoring 52 runs off 32 deliveries that consisted of 4 fours and 3 sixes. It was a pretty collective show by the Gujarat Titans' bowlers as the spin duo of Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore also picked up two wickets each. Eventually, the Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for a total of 159 runs in 19.2 overs.
