After beating the Pakistan national team in the first game of the 2-match Test series, the Bangladesh team made a great return to the game on day 4 of the morning session by bowling out the Pakistan team for 172 runs. This was after a disastrous first innings, where Bangladesh was struggling at 26 runs with half of the team back in the pavilion. However, when all players failed to settle on the crease against Pakistan's fierce bowling attack, senior player Litton Das and all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz played one of the best knocks of their cricketing careers by forming a strong partnership of 165 runs, helping their team avoid a follow-on at Rawalpindi National Cricket Stadium.

When Pakistan came to bat in the second innings, the Bangladesh bowlers stood tall, sending half of the team back to the dressing room by picking up 6 wickets for just 81 runs, thanks to Hasan Mahmud, who took a 5-wicket haul in his 10-over spell, conceding just 43 runs with an economy rate of 4. Apart from him, his pace partner Nahid Rana picked up 4 wickets in his 11-over spell, conceding just 44 runs.

With the help of fierce bowling by the Bangladesh pace duo, they managed to stop the Pakistan team at 173 runs, requiring 213 runs to win the match and create more history in the ongoing series. However, they could have restricted them to a much lower total, but thanks to all-rounder Agha Salman and Mohammad Rizwan, who formed a match-saving partnership of 55 runs for the 7th wicket, taking Pakistan to 173 runs in front of their home crowd.

In the second innings, before the game was called off due to bad light, Bangladesh was at 42 runs without losing a wicket, with Zakir Hasan playing on 31 runs and Shadman Islam on 9 runs, respectively. It will be really interesting to see how the Bangladesh cricket team performs on the final day of the Test series, where they are required to chase 143 runs to win the series.
