Sunrisers Hyderabad again stole the show in the ongoing Indian Premier League after surpassing their own score-highest total of 277 runs that they made against Mumbai Indians a few weeks ago at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In yesterday's game, the Hyderabad-based franchise scored a mammoth total of 287 runs on the scoreboard with the help of special knocks by the destructive Australian opener Travis Head (102) and Heinrich Klassen (67), supported by Aiden Markran (32) and Abdul Samad (37) at the end of SRH's innings, which helped them to win the match by 25 runs.
Klassen talked about SRH's win over RCB
It would not be wrong to say that Travis Head played a phenomenal innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad, giving them a solid start with the bat by scoring 102 runs in just 41 balls, which includes 9 boundaries and 8 maximums all over the ground.
In the post-match presentation, Klaasen was clear about his destructive performance. He credited Head for setting a vigorous tempo that put the opposition's bowlers under pressure.
Klaasen said that his approach was to bat sensibly, returning the strike to Head whenever possible and scoring on any loose deliveries that came his way.
“It was unbelievable start from Heady. A special knock and puts pressure on the bowlers. I just tried to play sensibly and give the strike back to him and if I have a couple of bad balls, I will go after that. But the tempo was set by him and it was good to see him do the funny things," said Klaasen.
The South African batter, Heinrich Klassen also opined about his preparation, noting that a recent practice session had been vital in refining his swing.
"I had a good session a couple of days back. Worked on my swing. I thought I was moving a bit sideways while hitting. So, just worked on it. Just fine tuning it," added the stumper.
With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad has reached on the 4th position on the points table with 8 points in 6 games having 4 wins and 2 losses.
