The much-anticipated International League T20 (ILT20 2025) is set to begin on Saturday, January 11, with a thrilling encounter between MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals. The tournament will showcase the best of T20 cricket in the United Arab Emirates, with 34 exciting matches to be played across various venues, culminating in the final on February 9 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Six top franchises will compete for the coveted title in this edition of the ILT20: Gulf Giants, Dubai Capitals, MI Emirates, Desert Vipers, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, and Sharjah Warriorz. The tournament promises to bring a high level of cricketing action, featuring world-class players from across the globe.

MI Emirates, the defending champions, will be looking to defend their title after a dominant 45-run victory over Dubai Capitals in last year's final. With a mix of local talent and international stars, the ILT20 2025 is expected to be a spectacle for cricket fans, offering fierce competition, exceptional performances, and a chance to witness the rising stars of the T20 format. The excitement is set to reach new heights as the teams battle it out for supremacy in this thrilling tournament.

The format of the International League T20 2025 closely mirrors that of the IPL, offering a familiar structure for fans. All six teams will compete in the league stage, where each team faces every other team. At the end of the league phase, the top four teams on the points table will advance to the playoffs. The playoff stage begins with Qualifier 1, where the top two teams will clash for a direct spot in the final. The Eliminator follows, where the third and fourth-placed teams face off, with the winner earning a second chance. This team will then compete in Qualifier 2 against the loser of Qualifier 1, with the winner of this match advancing to the final.

The loser of the Eliminator will be eliminated from the tournament. The final will feature the winner of Qualifier 1 against the winner of Qualifier 2, with the ultimate prize at stake. This knockout format ensures high drama and excitement, offering each team a shot at glory while keeping the competition fierce and unpredictable right until the end.
