New Zealand's SUPERMAN cricketer Glenn Phillips has once again taken a stunning catch in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, this time to dismiss India's in-form Virat Kohli on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai. Incidentally, both India and New Zealand have already qualified for the semi-finals of this 50-overs tournament, but they will definitely want to maintain their winning streak. Interestingly, this is the first India vs New Zealand in the Champions Trophy history since the 2000 final.

India vs New Zealand: Glenn Phillips takes catch of the tournament to send back Virat Kohli - WATCH

With India reeling at 22 for 2 in 5.1 overs, there was a lot of responsibility on Virat Kohli's shoulders as he was coming into this match after having scored an exceptional unbeaten hundred in the big-ticket clash against Pakistan. However, New Zealand's Glenn Phillips once again shell-shocked everyone with his stunning athleticism on the cricket field. While fielding at the backward point region, Phillips took a superb flying one-handed catch to send back Virat Kohli packing in his 300th ODI encounter. Even Kohli was really surprised looking at the amazing catch that forced him walk back to the pavillion after scoring 11 runs off 14 balls that included 2 fours.

Incidentally, this is the second time in this competition when Kiwi cricketer Glenn Phillips has taken a flying catch out of nowhere at the backward point region. He took a sensational catch while diving to his left to send back Pakistani captain Mohammad Rizwan earlier during the tournament opener hosted at the National Stadium in Karachi. There is no doubt that Glenn Phillips is currently the best fielder in this game.

Earlier in this final group stage clash of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, India did not had the best of starts having lost the toss and being put in to bat first. New Zealand's new ball bowlers Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson bowled exceedingly well to remove India's openers, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill quiet early with just 22 runs on the scoreboard.
