The thrill is right here as India vs Pakistan is underway in Dubai. Exceeding expectations, Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq managed to find their footing as Rizwan opted to bat first in the ICC Champions Trophy clash. Mohammed Shami opened the bowling for India but bowled as many as five wides in the over. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 9th over of the game as Hardik Pandya, India's clutch man, dismissed Babar Azam for 23 off 26. What followed next was an exemplary display of athleticism as all-rounder Axar Patel ran out the other opener, Imam-ul-Haq

Axar Patel dismisses Imam-ul-Haq in a run out

The Dubai crowd bore witness to the absolute brilliance of Axar Patel during the ICC Champions Trophy clash between India and Pakistan. Imam-ul-Haq, who has replaced the injured Fakhar Zaman in the Pakistan squad, opened the innings along with Babar Azam. Both the openers were patiently navigating the game forward until Hardik Pandya lured the former Pakistan skipper to edge one out to KL Rahul. After the first wicket fell, India gained a shift in the momentum as the next wicket followed soon after.

Going for a single in the 10th over of the game, Imam called for the run after pushing a delivery from spinner Kuldeep Yadav towards mid-on. As Saud Shakeel responded to the call, Imam failed to reach the danger end in time. However, more than a lapse in Imam's running between the wickets, the dismissal was more about Axar Patel's brilliance. The all-rounder wasted no time and hit the bull's eye in a matter of seconds. No review was required, as it was as clear as day to the naked eye that Imam's dismissal has arrived. Hence, Imam's innings came to a close at just 10 off 26.
