In a massive moment during the big-ticket India vs Pakistan encounter being hosted at the Dubai Interational Stadium in Dubai, Hardik Pandya bowled a beautiful delivery to dismiss opposition's premier batsman Babar Azam. This is the second match in this highly competitive 50-overs tournament for both these teams. However, Team India came into this important game after having registered a fantastic 6-wicket win over Bangladesh while Pakistan suffered a poor 60-run loss at the hands of New Zealand.

After having won the toss and opted to bat first on a tricky Dubai pitch, Pakistan got off to a fine start as the newly combined opening pair of Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq added a total of 41 runs in 8.1 overs. Babar looked in an impressive rhythm before India's pace bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya bowled a lovely delivery to get the better of the Pakistani opening batter. The right-hander managed to socre 23 runs off 26 balls that included as many as 5 boundaries. On the other hand, Pandya also came out with a special celebration after providing his team with the opening breakthrough. 

Babar Azam faced a lot of criticism from the Pakistani fans after his poor innings of 64 runs off a total of 90 balls in the big run-chase of 321 runs during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament opener against New Zealand. With not much runs from the top-order, Pakistan ended up losing the game by 60 runs. In the ongoing IND vs PAK clash, it will be really important for Pakistan to get some partnerships going and reach a competitive total.
