Rajasthan Royals pacer Kuldeep Sen went from hero to zero in match 24 of the Indian Premier League 2024 season on Wednesday. Kuldeep, playing his 1st game of the IPL 2024 season, started well against Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. He removed Sai Sudharsan to break a 64-run opening stand. The pacer was on fire after dismissing Sudharsan. In the 11th over, he cleaned up Matthew Wade and Abhinav Manohar as GT quickly slipped from 64/0 to 79/3. However, a poor last over by Kuldeep turned the momentum of the contest and left Titans needing 15 runs off the last over. Experienced finishers Rashid Khan and Rahul Tewatia made full use of the wides, no ball and low full-tosses, smashing them for boundaries to collect 20 runs.
Kuldeep Sen goes from Hero to Zero as Gujarat Titans breach Rajasthan Royals' Fortress
Despite captain Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag's outstanding batting efforts (68* off 38 and 76 off 48), Rajasthan Royals' unbeaten streak in IPL 2024 came to an end due to Rashid Khan's all-round performance. Rashid Khan cut the last ball for a boundary to backward point region to help Gujarat Titans to a three-wicket win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Umesh Yadav's poor line and length and some brute force of Shimron Hetmyer in the last over helped the Royals to post 196 for 3.

Needing 15 runs off the last over, Rashid Khan smashed the first ball through the square leg region for a boundary. Two balls later, he got a thick outside edge past the RR captain for another four. Tewatia was run out while attempting a third run, which left GT needing two runs to win off the last ball. Rashid played a square cut past the backward point region for a four. Gujarat Titans have until next Wednesday to savour this win before taking on Delhi Capitals at home. On the flip side, Rajasthan Royals have a much shorter turnaround time as they head to Mullanpur to play Punjab Kings on Saturday (April 13).
