Former Indian captain Mohammed Azharuddin took to Twitter to highlight all the problems affecting the stadium. Earlier, HCA had reportedly failed to pay dues worth Rs 1.67 crores, leading to the power cut, just ahead of the IPL 2024 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 5. Mohammed Azharuddin raised similar concerns during the first Test between India and England in Hyderabad, including difficulties reaching the venue and confiscating water bottles and suntan lotions. Videos on social media showed inadequate restroom conditions for visitors.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) had promised reforms after previous problems, but the recent tweet by Azharuddin suggests that little has changed. His critique of ongoing issues at the stadium should serve as a wake-up call for the HCA and venue management authorities. The concerned authorities need to address the problems to ensure the smooth conduct of more than six SRH home games at the iconic stadium and ensure the safety and well-being of the spectators.
