The Indian Premier League 2024 season has been full of surprises. The latest one occurred during match 30 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, April 15. Sunrisers Hyderabad piled up 287 for 3, the highest-ever total in the history of the Indian Premier League, thanks to a brilliant performance from their Australian opener, Travis Head. Following the match, Australian pacer Pat Cummins, who is leading SRH, posted a photo on his Instagram handle with his teammate Travis Head, teasing his fellow countryman Marnus Labuschagne. In an incredible batting display, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma, and Abdul Samad led SRH to a massive total of 287/3 in just 20 overs.

Pat Cummins takes hilarious dig at Marnus Labuschagne following SRH's win against RCB

Following the high-scoring thriller against RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Australian pacer Pat Cummins, who is leading SRH, posted a photo on his Instagram handle with his teammate Travis Head, who scored the match-winning century. Cummins captioned the post, "287 runs in a T20 🤯 🤯 🤯", which caught the attention of Marnus Labuschagne, who is not a part of the IPL 2024 season.

Star batter Marnus Labuschagne, who is Pat Cummins and Travis Head's teammate in the Australian national team, commented on the post, "Wow 🤯🤯", expressing his excitement about the high-scoring game. However, Cummins couldn't resist taking a hilarious dig at Labuschagne, replying, "@marnus3, you'd clear the fence here at Bangalore." The exchange between the two Aussies showed the camaraderie the two share off the cricket field.

In an incredible batting display, Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen, Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma, and Abdul Samad led SRH to a massive total of 287/3 in just 20 overs. As always, Virat Kohli attempted to achieve the impossible, smashing boundaries from the first ball and giving RCB a great start with his partner Faf du Plessis. Even though they scored 79 runs in the powerplay, the required run rate was still 15 runs per over. Kohli kept trying to hit big shots and went for a leg-spinner Mayank Markande delivery, but lost his balance and missed the googly completely, getting bowled. He was out for 42 off 20 balls.

RCB gave a spirited fight to SRH even though they succumbed to their sixth defeat of the IPL 2024 season. After losing half their side for 122, the home team was kept in the fight by Dinesh Karthik, who entertained the local fans at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with powerful hits as he blasted 83 off 35 balls, but RCB finished at 262/7 in 20 overs. SRH have picked up their fourth win of the season and are currently fourth on the points table.
