Legendary Indian captain MS Dhoni is nearing the end of his illustrious career. The ongoing Indian Premier League season is expected to be his last. Despite this, Dhoni has been making appearances all across India, much to the delight of his fans. One such fan is the Afghanistan cricketer Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who had the privilege of meeting Dhoni after the CSK vs KKR match in Chennai. Gurbaz got his bat signed by the man himself, making it a cherished memory. After match 22 between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Monday, wicketkeeper Rahmanullah Gurbaz was delighted to receive an autographed bat from MS Dhoni. Gurbaz did not play against the defending champions at Chepauk. However, Gurbaz shared a post on his social media handles expressing his joy after meeting Dhoni.

If there's one thing IPL fans wait for, it's an MS Dhoni batting moment. At 42, and with Dhoni's slow reflexes, you never know which season or match will turn out to be his final appearance in the sport. Hence, fans crave every MSD moment, hoping to witness his vintage self during his time at bat. Chepauk did not get a chance to witness Dhoni bat this season. Thala walked out to a deafening roar in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, fans would have ideally liked Dhoni to score the winning run against KKR, but the 42-year-old allowed captain Ruturaj Gaikwad to finish the run chase in style.

Young and dynamic CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad had single-handedly dominated the innings for the home team with his patient knock of 67 off 58 balls. The win, however, kept Chennai in the fourth spot in the points table. It was their third victory this season in five matches, all of which came at home. Their two defeats were against Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. On the other hand, KKR, who suffered their first loss this season after a hat-trick of wins, remained in the second spot in the table.

The defending champions Chennai Super Kings made a stunning comeback in the IPL 2024 season with an emphatic 7-wicket victory over the Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Ruturaj Gaikwad-led CSK are currently in the 4th position on the IPL 2024 points table. Both the bowlers and the batting line-up collectively chipped in, helping CSK pick up their third win in this T20 competition. CSK will next face Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on April 14.
A first-ball wicket, a Captain’s knock and a surprise entry with the bat! 👌 👌
