Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will lock horns with Punjab Kings (PBKS) in match 11 of the IPL 2024 season on Saturday, March 30, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow. The Super Giants will play their first home game of the IPL 2024 season, and their fans have high expectations following two consecutive playoff appearances by LSG. Led by KL Rahul, Lucknow began their IPL 2024 season with a disappointing loss against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 20 runs at Jaipur. They are ready to make a comeback in their first home game against the Kings with great support. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan's PBKS began their season with a 4-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) at their new home ground in Mullanpur, Chandigarh. However, they lost their second game of the IPL 2024 season against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
All eyes on the Ekana Stadium as the Super Giants take on Punjab Kings at home
After the top-order collapse in the first match against Rajasthan Royals, KL Rahul returned to competitive cricket with a 58(44) innings, following a long break from injury, in the last game of the Super Giants. He played a superb Innings but failed to up the ante when required. Along with him, Nicholas Pooran scored a superb innings of 64 runs off 41 balls, but unfortunately, he failed to finish the match. After an early collapse, KL Rahul and Nicholas Pooran put together an impressive partnership of 85 runs off 52 balls but unfortunately failed to lead their team to victory. Super Giants will be hoping for a strong start from both the top-order and bowlers.
On the flip side, Shikhar Dhawan 45(37) played a superb Innings but failed to up the ante when required to set a huge total against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Speaking about the bowlers, Harpreet Brar (4-0-13-2) and Kagiso Rabada (4-0-23-2) bowled a fantastic spell at Chinnaswamy, which is always a difficult ground for bowlers. The Punjab Kings will hope all their players continue their good form against Lucknow Super Giants at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
