After being put to bat first against Gujarat, Delhi Capitals posted a formidable target of 225 runs, thanks to fifties from Axar Patel (66) and skipper Rishabh Pant (88*). Despite a valiant effort during the chase, the Titans fell short in the final over as they could only get to 220 runs. The 24-year-old superstar from Jammu and Kashmir displayed his class by taking three crucial wickets for 44 runs in his four overs. Rasikh took the key wicket of GT's Impact player Sai Sudharshan, who smashed 65 runs off just 39 deliveries. His remaining two victims were Shahrukh Khan and Sai Kishore. Rasikh Salam also took a crucial catch to dismiss David Miller, who smashed a fifty in no time.

Rasikh Salam, who plays for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket, was roped in by Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2019 season, making him the third cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to be picked in the Indian Premier League. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) handed him a two-year ban due to a birth certificate discrepancy.
