The biggest news development coming in is that former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma is very much expected to announce his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) after the end of the ongoing season. Interestingly, five-time champions Mumbai Indians continued their tradition of "slow starters" in the IPL 2025 season as they suffered back-to-back losses at the hands of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) in their opening two matches. However, the Hardik Pandya-led MI team made a phenomenal comeback in their last game to beat the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by a comprehensive margin of 8 wickets during their first game this season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday.

13, 8 and 0 are Rohit Sharma's scores in the last three innings during the ongoing Indian Premier League 2025 season while opening the batting for the Mumbai Indians. He has not been in the best of forms so far in this T20 competition which is a big worry for the Mumbai Indians team management. According to the recent reports surfacing on the social media. Rohit is likely to announce his IPL retirement after the end of the ongoing edition.

Sorry folks, this is a April Fool's prank and please do not take the above part seriously at all as Rohit Sharma is not going anywhere. He is not going to announce his retirement from the Indian Premier League anytime soon.
