The format of including 20 teams for the mega event has paved the way for countries like Ireland to flourish on the global stage. As part of the preparations for the T20 World Cup, Ireland has decided to practice hard. Ireland has announced T20I squads for the Pakistan series, Tri Series with Netherlands and Scotland and T20 World Cup. The Irish side will indulge in a three-match series against Pakistan in Dublin, the Tri-Series with Netherlands and Scotland in Voorburg and the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup starting next month. The 15-member squad, star player Josh Little, will be added to the three squads featuring the same 14 players after the IPL 2024 at the T20 World Cup.

Cricket Ireland announced T20I squads for the Pakistan series, Tri Series with Netherlands and Scotland and T20 World Cup. "The squad is one that we have gradually developed and tested out over the last 18 or so months – the skill sets we need to cover are there, albeit we have allowed Josh [Little] to continue in the IPL until his side end their campaign, so he will likely join us ahead of the big tournament. We are now entering the final stretch before the T20 World Cup begins. It will be a challenging couple of weeks, but we’re ready to tackle whatever is thrown at us," Ireland Men’s Head Coach Heinrich Malan said.
