In an important development, right-arm speedster Avesh Khan has joined the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) camp for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. The Lucknow Super Giants are scheduled to lock horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their second game of the ongoing competition taking place on 27 March, 2025 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. It was a really poor start for the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025 as they suffered a heartening 1-wicket defeat at the hands of Delhi Capitals (DC) during their opening encounter in Visakhapatnam. LSG will definitely be eyeing to make a fighting comeback and claim their first points. 

Avesh Khan to play the SRH vs LSG IPL 2025 match?

The latest update is that fast bowler Avesh Khan is fully fit and available for selection in the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2025 match starting on Thursday. Incidentally, the pacer was recovering from a knee injury ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025 season due to which he missed the opening game for Lucknow Super Giants. However, he has been declared fit by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The right-arm speedster is very much likely to be straightaway drafted into the LSG playing 11. 

During the IPL 2025 mega auction, it was a home-coming for somebody like Avesh Khan as he was once again bought by the Lucknow Super Giants at a whopping price of INR 9.75 Crore. While talking about Avesh Khan stats in IPL so far, the right-arm fast bowler has taken as many as 74 scalps from 63 matches at an economy of 8.91. The Lucknow Super Giants are very much likely to replace Avesh with young Prince Yadav in this game against SRH.
