While unfortunately not part of the action, India's pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, has arrived at the venue to support his teammates in the clash.

India face arch-rivals Pakistan in their second Group A fixture at the Dubai International Stadium, with a semifinal spot within reach. Having secured a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in their opening match on Thursday, another win would all but confirm their place in the final four. Meanwhile, Pakistan are in a must-win situation after suffering a 60-run defeat to New Zealand in Karachi on Wednesday. Ahead of the game, Bumrah also took the opportunity to meet the squad on the field and interacted with ICC chairman Jay Shah.
The 31-year-old sustained an injury during the final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia last month. Following the series, the BCCI advised him to manage his workload as Indian players returned to domestic action in the Ranji Trophy. He was also rested for the home white-ball series against England earlier this month, sparking speculation over his fitness. Despite being named in India’s provisional Champions Trophy squad, BCCI awaited the final medical reports before making a decision. Ultimately, he was ruled out on the eve of the deadline. Last week, ahead of India’s campaign opener, Bumrah’s wife, Sanjana Ganesan, confirmed that the fast bowler had already begun training at the National Cricket Academy.
