Mayank Yadav has been the talk of the town since his debut game against Punjab Kings in the second game for Lucknow Supergiants, where he picked 3 wickets and made a crucial contribution to the Lucknow-based franchise, which helped them to win the game by 21 runs. In his second game against RCB yesterday, he again impressed everyone with a 3-wicket haul in front of the destructive batting lineup of Royal Challengers Bangalore. With his two back-to-back match-winning performances, Mayank received Player of the Match awards in his first 2 games, he is on the 2nd list after CSK Mustafizure Rahman in terms of the most wicket-taker of the Indian Premier League.

Mayank has an incredible skill to generate pace continuously in yesterday's game against RCB. He broke his own record after bowling at a speed of 157, which he made in the 1st game against Punjab Kings. The 21-year-old bowler doesn't lose control while bowling, which is really a good sign that can help him be part of the Indian team if he continues to perform in this way.

Mayank Explained His LSG Journey

"Had a chance to debut a couple of times in 2022. The way I was bowling, everyone was impressed, including Gautam Gambhir sir and the coach of LSG. But because of certain circumstances, I was not able to make my LSG debut.

Ahead of our last league game against KKR, Rahul (bhai) came up to me and said that, be ready, you are making your IPL debut. However, unfortunately, a player got injured, and the team combination was such that they need a like-to-like replacement, and they brought in a different player in the playing XI."

India has always been looking for a fast-bowler, who can bowl continuously at the speed of 150 having control over his line and length and Mayank has definitely got it by seeing his performance in the first 2 games. We can expect that the star bowler could be part of the Indian team very soon.

Lucknow Supergiants will be playing their next game against Gujarat Titans at Ekana Stadium on April 7.
