MPL: Know What Went Wrong For Gwailior Cheetahs In Match 8 Of MPL

In match number 8 of Madhya Pradesh League, after winning the toss Jabalpur Lions decided to bowl first against Gwailior Cheetahs, the match was reduced to 5-5 overs each due to rain, where Cheetahs managed to score just 55 runs in 5 overs, with the help of crucial knocks by Parth Sahani (18) and a cameo by Sanjog Singh Nijjar of 12 runs in 6 balls against a strong bowling line up of Jabalpur Lions at the Gwalior International Stadium. GC lost consistent wickets in the initial stage of the innings which caused them to score just 55 runs. Puneet Dubey from Jabalpur Lion picked the most 3 wickets in his 2 overs spell by conceding just 19 runs with an economy of 9.50.

In the second innings, Gwailior made a good start by picking the first 2 wickets of Lions on the score of 13 runs in the two overs, but couldn't capitalise well as Sagar Solanki scored 31 runs in 12 balls, hitting 3 boundaries and 3 maximums all over the ground, taking his team to a victory by 6 wickets in 4.2 overs.

Ankit Singh Kushwaha picked 2 wickets from GC bowling by conceding 16 runs. With this win, Jabalpur Lions have got 6 points on the table and they are sitting on the top after winning in 3-back-to-back games. Whereas, Gwailior Cheetahs have faced another loss in the tournament, making them sit in the second position after getting 4 points on the table.
