Averaging 140 km/h with the ball, Grewal has rapidly climbed the ranks to become an essential player for several teams. The 23-year-old Delhi-born bowler recently played for the Central Delhi Kings in the Delhi Premier League, where he also shared valuable insights into his time with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Rising pace sensation Money Grewal talks about his time with Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2024

Money Grewal considers Virat Kohli to be one of the most passionate and competitive players in cricket. He explained that Kohli maintains his aggression and focus even during practice sessions, which motivates the rest of the team and support staff to match the former RCB skipper's intensity. Grewal was also asked about the famous rivalry between RCB and five-time champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK), which reached new heights in the previous edition of the IPL.

Having witnessed it firsthand from the RCB dugout, Grewal praised the Chinnaswamy crowd for their unwavering support for Bengaluru and noted how the crowd's enthusiasm extended to every player on the team. Grewal specifically mentioned Dinesh Karthik, commending the seasoned player for his work ethic. The young pacer described Karthik as a role model, particularly for his discipline and dedication to the game.

Bowling bouncers to Cameron Green: Grewal spills about playing the net bowler to Australia

Interestingly, many may not know that Money Grewal played a crucial role in the Australian setup during the 2023 ODI World Cup. Grewal served as a net bowler for the Australian team while they practiced in Delhi. Australia, led by Pat Cummins, dealt India a crushing blow by defeating them in the final on November 19, 2023. Despite India's loss, Grewal described his experience working with the Australian squad as "enjoyable" and highlighted the positive atmosphere within the team.

One of Grewal's key takeaways was that the Australian team thoroughly enjoys their game. He explained that their ability to remain aggressive on the field while maintaining a light-hearted environment in the dugout is one of their biggest strengths.

Grewal also shared an interesting anecdote about bowling to Cameron Green in the nets during the World Cup. During one net session, Grewal bowled a bouncer that struck Green on the helmet. The delivery impressed Andy Flower, who was with Australia at the time. After the session, Flower asked Grewal for his contact details and later reached out to him. This encounter and Flower's endorsement paved the way for Grewal to join RCB as a net bowler for IPL 2024. The young pacer also mentioned that when he met Green again in the RCB dugout, the Australian all-rounder remembered the bouncers from their World Cup practice sessions.

Money Grewal is a rising star in Indian cricket, determined to make his way into the Indian national team. He holds Ishant Sharma, another ace from Delhi, in high regard. Discussing his ambitions, Grewal expressed a desire to follow in Sharma's footsteps and play 100 Test matches for India, aspiring to achieve similar success with the national team.
