The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 finalists Pakistan are all set to take on Ireland in an upcoming three-match T20I series, which will kick off on May 10. The series will be played to better prepare the side for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the USA and the West Indies on June 2. Ahead of the three-game series, veteran pacer Mohammad Amir may not be allowed to leave with the squad for Ireland due to Visa issues. According to reports, the rest of the team had no problems getting their authorizations, but a delay in Amir’s arrival is now anticipated. This is mainly owing to the concerns raises for his previous spot-fixing scandal.

Speaking of Pakistan’s upcoming assignments, the Men in Green will take on Ireland in a three-game T20I series starting on May 10, 12, and 14 at Castle Avenue in Dublin. After the conclusion of the Ireland series, Babar Azam & Co will shift their focus onto England. Pakistan will take on defending champions England in a four-game T20I series on May 22, 25, 28, and 30. The first T20I will be played at Headingley, Leeds, with Edgbaston, Sophia Gardens, and the Kennington Oval hosting the second, third, and fourth encounters. "Because of the spot-fixing case of 2010 and his subsequent jail term and ban his visa is still being processed, we are hopeful he will get his visa in a day or two, and he can join them later,” a source said.
