The Punjab Kings (PBKS) are always famous for their big money decisions at every Indian Premier League (IPL auction) and the same will be expected at the much-talked IPL 2025 mega auction venue, Abady Al Johar Arena in the city of Jeddah on 24 November, 2024. Just like the previous seasons, the Punjab Kings will be going into the IPL 2025 auction with fresh minds as they have retained just two players, Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh. The regular PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan has already announced his retirement after having missed most of the previous season due to injury and they also released their stand-in skipper Sam Curran.
List of PBKS retained players for IPL 2025
The Punjab Kings definitely raised a lot of eyeballs when they choose not to retain their premier left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. On the other hand, the PBKS management surprised everyone when they announced two uncapped players, Shashank Singh (INR 5.5 Crore) and Prabhsimran Singh (INR 4 Crore) as their IPL 2025 retentions. The IPL 2014 runners-up now have a total of four Right To Match (RTM) options available but they can use them only for the capped cricketers because they have already retained a maximum of two uncapped players. Punjab Kings will enter the IPL auction 2025 with the biggest purse size of INR 110.5 Crore.
