Ravindra Jadeja was born on December 6th, 1988 in a Gujarati Rajput Hindu family in Navagam Ghod city of Jamnagar district in Gujarat. However, Jadeja’s father wants him to become an Army Officer, but his passion for cricket has made him one of the best all-rounders in the cricketing World.

When Jadeja was growing he lost his mother which made him almost quit the Gentleman's Game but his sister insisted him to follow his passion, which made him picked in India’s under-19  for 2006 ICC Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka in the year 2005 at the age of just 16. Later, after his incredible performance in the marquee event he was named as the Vice-captain of the Indian team at the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup, where he played a crucial role for Men in Blue by picking 10 wickets in 6 games at an average of 13.

In the next year, the Indian all-rounder made his first-class debut in the Duleep Trophy, where he played for West Zone and Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy. Later, Jadeaj became the first Indian batsman to score three first-class triple centuries.

It was the time when the  Indian team were searching for an all-rounder, who could bowl 4 overs of spell and bat in the lower down order with tailendras and Jadeja completely fit on that position after Yusuf Pathah were unable to score runs. Jadeja replaced him in the number 7 position in the 2009 series against Sri Lanka in Cuttack, for which he was awarded with the man of the match award by picking 4 wickets conceding just 32 runs.

Jadeja played a match-winning knock against England when the Indian team were 5 wickets down on the score of 58 runs after 19 overs, he scored 78, adding 112 with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and 59 off only 5.1 overs with Ravichandran Ashwin to help his side reach 234–7 in 50 overs at the Oval in London.

Meanwhile, during the 2nd Test match at Kochi, he hit 61 off just 37 balls, which took India to a total of 285. In the second innings, he bowled a spell of 2 for 12 in 7 overs, helping India beat England by 127 runs and level the series 1–1. He made 33* with the bat and took 2 wickets in the final against England. He was also named as part of the 'Team of the Tournament' by the ICC and ESPNcricinfo.

With his incredible performance for the Indian team, he was ranked as the No.1 bowler in ODI Cricket by the ICC in August 2013. Not only that he is the first India bowler to top the rankings since Anil Kumble, who topped the table in 1996. In the next year, Ravindra Jadeja scored his maiden Test fifty on 20 July 2014, playing against England and saving the match for India, who were struggling at 235/7. He made 68 runs from just 57 balls. His partnership of 99 with Bhuvneshwar Kumar helped India set England a target of 319. However, everything didn't go well for Jaddu after this series as he was dropped from the Indian team after his poor performance in the Indian team in 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.
