Things are once again looking a bit tricky and challenging for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of an Indian Premier League (IPL auction 2025). After an ordinary start, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru team performed exceptionally well in the later stages of the tournament to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. However, considering this is an IPL 2025 mega auction, they will have to come out with pretty fresh tactical strategies. The Royal Challengers Bangalore will enter the IPL 2025 auction with the second biggest purse size of INR 83 Crore. RCB also surprised their fan army when they released their captain Faf du Plessis ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
List of RCB retained players for IPL 2025
Almost everyone were aware that star batsman Virat Kohli had to be the first retention for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and they retained him at a whopping price of INR 21 Crore. The second retention was pretty much surprising as they decided to retain hard-hitting young batter Rajat Patidar at a hefty amount of INR 11 Crore while RCB also retained left-arm pacer Yash Dayal as the uncapped cricketer at a price worth INR 5 Crore. However, not many would have expected that the Royal Challengers Bangalore will leave out their star fast bowler Mohammed Siraj especially after his impressive bowling performances in the last few years. RCB will go into the IPL auction 2025 with as many as 3 Right To Match (RTM) options available.
