The Gujarat Titans (GT) have displayed a sensational performance to completely outplay the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their own backyard at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. In the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season, Gujarat Titans have managed to register a commanding 7-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad to claim their third win this year. It was a pretty clinical performance in both the batting as well as bowling departments from the Gujarat Titans. With this emphatic win, the Gujarat Titans have climbed to the second position on the IPL 2025 points table.

SRH vs GT IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans pick up third consecutive win by beating Sunrisers Hyderabad

After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, the Sunrisers Hyderabad once again got off to a disappointing start at the top as both their openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma got out cheaply. Gujarat Titans' speedster Mohammed Siraj bowled an impressive opening spell to dismiss both the SRH openers. The Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to get any sort of momentum further in the middle-overs as they continued to lose wickets on regular basis. Left-arm spinner Sai Kishore removed the duo of Nitish Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen to completely break the backbone of SRH batting line-up.

On the back of a collective bowling performance, Gujarat Titans managed to restrict the Sunrisers Hyderabad at a below-par score of 152 for 8 in their quota of 20 overs. For the Gujarat Titans, Siraj was the pick of the bowlers as he took three crucial wickets while the duo of Sai Kishore and Prasidh Krishna also finished with two scalps each.

In reply, the Gujarat Titans did not had the best of starts either as they ended up losing the in-form duo of Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler with just 16 runs on the scoreboard. The pair of skipper Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar then combined together to bail their team out of trouble with a sensational 90-run partnership. After being promoted up the order, Sundar played a fantastic knock of 49 runs off just 29 balls that included 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Shubman Gill led his team from the front as he contributed with an exceptional unbeaten innings of 61 runs off only 43 deliveries while Sherfan Rutherford also remained 35 not out in the successful run-chase. Gujarat Titans chased down the target of 153 runs with as many as 20 balls to spare.
