Star India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has reacted for the first time since his comeback in the Indian squad for the next month's ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. Yuzvendra Chahal, who is currently playing for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2024 season, has been picked alongside Kuldeep Yadav as the only two wrist-spinners. Besides Chahal and Kuldeep, the BCCI chief selection committee handed selections to left-arm spin duo Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. While speaking to Murali Karthik about his T20 World Cup selection, Chahal opined that being selected in India's squad for the T20 World Cup is his "biggest achievement" to date. He added that everyone plays domestic cricket to be selected for India.
Yuzvendra Chahal reflects on T20 World Cup 2024 selection
There are high chances of Yuzvendra Chahal starting for India at the T20 World Cup 2024. When Murali Karthik asked him to react to his World Cup selection ahead of the IPL 2024 away match against SRH, Yuzvendra Chahal could not hide his satisfaction. Chahal stated his selection in the Indian team as his biggest achievement, claiming that every Indian cricketer plays domestic cricket and IPL just to get picked for the country.
"For the World Cup, we play IPL, domestic cricket to get into the Indian team and that is my biggest achievement, I think I played there (West Indies) last July, but when I was out of the Indian team. I played domestic T20s and cricket keeps going on," Yuzvendra Chahal told Murali Karthik at the Rajiv Gandhi stadium ahead of SRH Vs RR.
