After witnessing as many as 73 exciting matches, it is now time for one last battle as the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will be facing the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) season scheduled to take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on 26 May, 2024. Both these teams are coming into this big encounter after winning their respective previous games and performing really well throughout this T20 competition. Incidentally, Kolkata Knight Riders have already defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier in the Qualifier 1. However, the Pat Cummins-led team emerged victorious in the league stage match against KKR. 1. Sunil Narine

For the Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunil Narine has arguably been the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the ongoing 17th edition of the Indian Premier League due to his amazing contributions both with the bat and ball. In this IPL 2024 season, the southpaw batsman once again returned as an opener and he smacked even some of the world class bowlers all around the park. Narine has smashed a blistering total of 482 runs from 13 games at a fantastic strike-rate of close to 180 that includes three fifties and one century. On the other hand, the right-arm off spinner has also managed to take as many as 16 wickets at an economy of 6.90. 

2. Travis Head

Travis Head has surely been one of the major reasons at the top that Sunrisers Hyderabad has qualified into the IPL 2024 final. While continuing his superb international cricket form, he has played an aggressive and intimidating brand of cricket this season, taking the attack to the opposition bowlers from the word go. The swashbuckling left-handed batsman has notched up an excellent tally of 567 runs in 14 matches at an exceptional strike-rate of over 192. Head has smashed as many as four half-centuries and one hundred. He will definitely be a key player to watch out for in the KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 final starting on Sunday. 

3. Abhishek Sharma

For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, both their openers, Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma have been the star performers in the batting department alongside Heinrich Klaasen in the middle-order. Interestingly, Abhishek has been the best uncapped player in thi edition of the IPL to a great extent as he has taken his game to a different level. He has blasted a wonderful total of 482 runs from 15 games at a phenomenal strike-rate of more than 207. In the crucial Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk, Abhishek also managed to pick two important wickets to help his team emerge victorious. 

4. Pat Cummins

Indian Premier League is surely one of the biggest and competitive leagues in the sporting world and Pat Cummins has once again brought his superb leadership skills on the table. After winning the 2023 World Test Championship and ODI World Cup final against India, the Aussie captain now has his eyes set on the prestigious IPL 2024 trophy. Barring his amazing captaincy and bowling changes, Cummins has also been terrific with the ball throughout this T20 tournament, having picked up a total of 17 wickets from 15 matches. Despite a high economy of over 9, the right-arm speedster has taken crucial wickets in some really difficult situations. 

5. Mitchell Starc

Despite not having the best of performances in the group stage of the IPL 2024, left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc will be one of the top performers to watch out for in the upcoming Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad match. He ended up bowling a match-winning spell in the Qualifier 1 against the same opposition where he took three wickets and gave away 34 runs in his four overs. In the league stage match against Mumbai Indians, Starc managed to scalp four wickets and conceded 33 runs in 3.5 overs. The lanky Australian pacer has picked up 15 wickets from 13 matches in IPL 2024.
