After performing brilliantly in their debut ICC event, the USA Cricket team are playing ICC Cricket World Cup League Two 2023-27, wherein the 20th match against Canada, they posted a target huge target of 304 runs while batting first at  Sportpark Duivesteyn in Netherlands with the help of their captain Monank Patel, who remained 121 runs not out while coming to bat at number 3, he got full support from Indian origin batter Smit Patel by playing a crucial knock of 63 runs. This batter was part of the Under-19 Indian team, which had USA cricketer Unmukt Chand in the team before shifting to USA for a cricketing career.

The USA Cricket team are entering into this tournament after an impeccable performance in the 9th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, where they defeated Canada in the opening game and a shocking defeat to India’s arch-rival Pakistan in the group game-making them hard to qualify for the super 8s. The debutant qualified for the Super 8s stage of the tournament by finishing the group stage with 5 points after the Indian team by finding 2 wins out of 4 games.

However, their journey ended when they were defeated by England in a must-win game by 10 wickets at Kennington Stadium in Barbados. But their performance was praised and appreciated by several teams giving a tough fight to top test-playing nation teams.

Talking about the game between USA and Canada, the USA team batted first and scored 304 runs in 50 overs with the help of a crucial knock by their captain Monank Patel of 121* runs in 95 balls by hitting 7 boundaries and 5 sixes all over the ground. Along with him, Shayan Jahangir also played a sensible knock of 57 runs when the team faced 3 back-to-back blows by the Canada team in the span of 28 runs, he formed a crucial partnership of 143 runs taking the team to a respectable total of 304 runs in 50 overs.
