Either it's India in the lead or Australia dominating the contest, the heat is promised in a Border Gavaskar Trophy tussle. The pink-ball Test in Adelaide has brought out the fiery side of the players contesting in the second match of the series. Day 2 of the day-night clash witnessed yet another aggressive antic from Indian seamer Mohammed Siraj. Siraj, who had thrown the ball at Marnus Labuschagne on the opening day after the Australian pulled out of the strike midway, this time charged up at Travis Head. However, Head had already dented the Indian campaign until then.

Adelaide Test: Mohammed Siraj bids a fiery goodbye to Travis Head

Mohammed Siraj is one aggressive seamer, and the player believes that aggression fuels his performance. His heated temperament is on full display as India faces Australia in the second Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Day 1 had Siraj throwing expletives at Labuschagne as the Aussie backed out from strike due to a disturbance at the side screen. Day 2 took things up a notch when the seamer finally got rid of Travis Head.

Travis Head has grown into a familiar headache for India across formats. The pink-ball Test in Australia fared no different as the Kangaroo notched a swift ton. Bumrah and Siraj had no answers to Head's attack as the batter propelled Australia's lead over the visitors. While Siraj got rid of Mitchell Marsh at the other end, Head continued his relentless exploits as he hit the Indian seamers, especially Harshit Rana, for consistent boundaries.

However, Siraj finally earned a breakthrough as the seamer hit timber with a scintillating delivery. Head's wicket meant a lot for the visitors, as the batter had dominated the day single-handedly until then. Thus, when the wicket finally arrived, Mohammed Siraj threw a heated send-off at the departing Aussie. Head, while having nothing left to prove after his century knock, didn't hold back either. The batter stopped in his tracks to shoot back at the seething Indian pacer.

Though India finally felt a wave of relief at Head's wicket, the Aussie, with his 140 off 141, received a thunderous applause from the home crowd. Head's innings against the pink ball included 17 fours and 4 sixes. Moreover, Siraj's treatment of Head after the scalp didn't sit well with the Adelaide audience, who booed the seamer. From there onwards, however, Siraj picked two more wickets to bundle Australia out for 337.
