"I wouldn't say we would have definitely won the game if I had played. But we had a better chance of qualifying if I would have had a chance to play in the last game. I would say the start of the season was with a lot of hopes, some injuries," Rishabh Pant said in the post-match interview.

This situation has made Rishabh Pant question the BCCI's decision to ban him for a slow over-rate offense against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Despite winning their final IPL 2024 league match, Delhi Capitals' chances of qualifying for the playoffs are incredibly slim. For them to secure a spot, they would require both the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Punjab Kings (PBKS), who have already been eliminated from the tournament, to score 200 runs and beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a margin of 100 runs.

Can Delhi Capitals still qualify for the IPL 2024 Playoffs?

1. Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings, who have already been eliminated, should opt to bat first against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

2. Both Gujarat and Punjab should score at least 200 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

3. Both GT and PBKS have to defeat SRH by at least a margin of 100 runs.
