1. Suresh Raina

On number 1, we have former Indian Cricketer Suresh Raina on the list, who has played a huge role for the Chennai-based franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from its inception. This Indian Player was one of the biggest match-winners for Men in Blue as well as for its franchise. 

Suresh Raina also known as Chinnathala for CSK fans represented the Indian team from 2010 to 2018, where he played several match-winning knocks for Men in Blue across different formats in his 13-year-long international career. The 37-year-old batter was the player who scored a century from India in a debut Test match against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

You might not know Raina is also still leading the table with the batter having the highest average and most runs in IPL history by any player for the Yellow Army. Raina has represented Chennai Super Kings in 200 games and helped his team to reach finals 10 times out of 14 editions. With 714 runs in 24 innings, having an outstanding average of 37.57, he is the first player, who has scored most runs in IPL playoffs for his team. Chinnathala has scored most runs in IPL for CSK despite retiring from the format in 2021. In 200 matches played for Super Kings, the left-hand batter has scored 5529 runs with an average of 33.10, which also includes 2 hundreds to his name.

2. MS Dhoni

On number 2, we have got the most loved cricketer in the world, who has not only made his team win 5 IPL titles but also made every cricket fan's dream come true after winning the second Cricket World Cup for the Indian team. Yes! we are talking about, the legendary Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni who has made every Indian by winning several ICC trophies for Men in Blue in his 15 years of international career.

Apart from having one of the sharpest brains in the cricketing world, the former Indian cricketer is also known for his match-winning knocks as the finisher for his team. But it won't be possible without him as he is the 2nd batter in IPL history to score most runs in IPL playoffs after his former teammate Suresh Raina, after scoring 523 runs in 22 innings with an average of 37.35.

3. Shubman Gill

On number 3, we have got a very young and talented batter who is just 24 years old but has made his name in international cricket as one of the best Indian cricket player in the world also having a double hundred under his name against New Zealand last year. 

We are talking about Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill, who has scored 435 runs in 9 innings with an average of 54.37, i.e is the third highest most runs in IPL playoffs scored by a batter for his team. Gill made his debut in the Indian Premier League in 2018 for Kolkata Knight Riders franchise, where he represented them for 3 consecutive years and played a core role for his team before being purchased by a newly-franchise Gujarat Titans in 2022 at a whopping price of 8 crores.

You might not know he lands top on the list with the fastest batsman to reach 2000 runs in ODI cricket which he achieved last year against New Zealand. The right-handed batter has played 99 matches to date in his IPL career and has scored 3,088 runs, with an average of 38.12 having 3 centuries and 20 half-centuries under his name with the highest score in IPL of 129 runs. However, Shubman Gill is way below in the list of most runs in IPL 2024.
