The former West Indies all-rounder has been part of Kolkata Knight Riders team since 2012, where he picked 172 wickets in 169 innings with an efficient economy of 6.75. 

Sunil Narine has played several match-winning knocks for the Kolkata-based franchise, which helped them win 2 IPL trophies in 2012 and 2014. Narine has recently surpassed the former Sri Lankan yorker King Lasith Malinga's record of picking the most wickets in IPL for a single franchise in IPL history.

2. Lasith Malinga

The former Sri Lankan bowler comes in second position with 170 wickets in 122 innings from a Mumbai-based franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with an efficient economy of 6.88. Malinga has been a part of Mumbai Indians from the start of the IPL, where he has played a core role in earning the 5 IPL trophies for the Mumbai-based franchise in IPL history.

Malinga has announced his retirement from all the formats. Currently, he is seen playing a role for the MI franchise as a bowling coach in IPL 2024.

3. Jasprit Bumrah

On number 1, we have one of the best bowlers in the world who has dominated every batter, with his toe-crushing yorkers and fast pace in all three formats. Yes! We are talking about a player who has taken the most wickets in IPL 2024 till now. It's Jasprit Bumrah. The right-arm fast bowler comes in the list at number 3 with 158 wickets in 128 innings.

1. Yuzvendra Chahal: Yuzvendra Chahal is known for his incredible leg spin bowling in the shortest format of the game, where he is seen picking the wickets for his team in the middle overs. Despite Chahal's top performance from 2013 to 2021 Royal Challengers Bangalore, he was not retained by RCB in 2022 Mega-Auction and got picked by the Rajasthan Royals franchise at a whopping PCIe of 6.5 crores. Chahal didn't disappoint his new franchise in the 2022 IPL by becoming the most wicket in IPL 2022 for 14th edition of the Indian Premier League.

Chahal picked 27 wickets in 17 matches with an efficient economy of 7.75, which helped the Royals in the Finals of IPL 2022.

2. DJ Bravo

The former West Indies all-rounder has been one of the most loved cricketers in India, having a loyal fan base from the Chennai Super Kings franchise. Bravo was part of the Indian Premier League from the start of the season he represented the Mumbai Indians franchise for the first three seasons. Later in 2011 mega-auction, he was purchased by Yellow-Army, which helped them win their 2nd IPL trophy in 2011 Season.

The former West Indies all-rounder has played 161 matches in his IPL career of 14 years, where he picked 183 wickets with an efficient economy of 8.38, making him the second-highest wicket-taker in IPL after Yuzvendra Chahal.

The Champion all-rounder was also on the list of players who have picked the most wickets in IPL during a single season. After his incredible performance in 2013 season, he picked 32 wickets in 18 games.

3. Piyush Chawla

We have another leg spinner dominating this list of bowlers who have taken most wickets in IPL for a single franchise. Yes! It's no other than the experienced lef spinner Piyush Chwala, who has played 15 editions of the Indian Premier League from its inception. The 35-year-old cricketer has played 186 matches in the Indian Premier League from 2008 to now, where he has picked 182 wickets with an efficient economy of 7.96. However, the veteran leg spinner has retired from International cricket. But he is seen playing for the Mumbai Indians franchise in IPL 2024.
