Why is Glenn Phillips not playing the GT vs LSG IPL 2025 match? Check GT Playing XI
Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans are all set to play against each other in the 26th match of the Indian Premier League 2025 on Saturday. Ahead of their sixth game against LSG, Gujarat Titans were dealt with a major blow as Glenn Philipps was ruled out of the tournament because of a groin injury. He picked up the injury while fielding as a substitute during the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
GT would be disappointed to have lost the services of Glenn Phillips, who is an exceptional middle-order batter besides being a great fielder. Although, GT’s form has been so good that they didn't even use Glenn Phillips in the single game of the tournament so far.
In his IPL career, Phillips has played eight matches so far, amassing 65 runs at an average and a strike rate of 9.29 and 118.18, respectively.
LSG skipper Rishabh Pant win the toss and opts to bowl
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant has won the toss and elected to bowl first. LSG has also dealt with a big blow as Mitchell Marsh missed out on the clash. Rishabh Pant, on the toss, informed that his daughter is unwell.
Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, made one change in their playing XI, with Washington Sundar coming back in place of Kushwant Khejroliya.
“I would have bowled first as well. I don't think the wicket is going to change much. Everyone is contributing in their way, that's been one of the hallmarks for us. For us, it's all about playing one game after the other, it doesn't matter how many games we have won or lost in the past. It's about giving our best. Washi comes in for Kulwant.”
Gujarat Titans have been nothing short of sensational this season. They have managed to win four out of five matches in the Indian Premier League 2025 and find themselves sitting at the top of the points table. Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, have three wins to their name in five games and are at sixth on the table.
