In the subsequent GT vs MI match, Rabada again managed one wicket at an economy of 10.50. However, the pacer then left the GT squad ahead of the RCB vs GT IPL 2025 match. Shubman Gill, at the time, cited 'personal reasons' behind Rabada's unavailability from the game. Following GT's commanding victory at the Chinnaswamy, an update followed, informing that Rabada had returned home to South Africa due to personal reasons.
