Why is Mayank Yadav not playing SRH vs LSG IPL 2025 match?
Just before the start of the Indian Premier League 2025 season, the Lucknow Super Giants suffered a huge setback as their premier speedster Mayank Yadav got ruled out for the first half of the tournament due to injury. He was initially recovering from a back injury, but the pacer now faces a stern challenge with a toe injury, which has further delayed his return for LSG in IPL 2025. Moreover, the pacer was really impressive for the Lucknow Super Giants in the last edition of the Indian Premier League as he astonished even the best of batters with his amazing bowling speed. The LSG speedster has the terrific ability to clock a bowling speed of 150 kmhr on a consistent basis. Incidentally, Mayank also missed majority of the IPL 2024 season due to a back injury. After stunning performances in IPL 2024, Mayank Yadav also earned his maiden call-up to the India T20I team.
"We will bowl first. I think we got to get them out early and look to chase the target. It depends on the team combination, that's why we want to bowl first. We have the batting to chase it down. The only change is Avesh comes back, Shahbaz misses out. We gonna chase whatever they score, doesn't matter," stated LSG captain Rishabh Pant during the toss.
