Meanwhile, the Super Giants have found their top performers in foreign picks Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran. The top-order duo has scored the most runs for the team so far, stitching together match-winning knocks. However, in a massive setback for the home team, Mitchell Marsh is not playing in the LSG vs GT IPL 2025 match.

The LSG skipper, Rishabh Pant won the toss and opt to bowl first against Gujarat Titans at Ekana, his home ground. Following the toss, Pant updated that Mitchell Marsh would miss the LSG vs GT fixture because the cricketer's daughter is unwell. The Australian has been a crucial pick for LSG in the season so far. With 256 runs across the five matches, Marsh is the second hightest run scorer for the team, behind Nicholas Pooran. The 265 runs have come at an impressive average of 53.00 and a blazing strike past 180. While Marsh is playing the season purely as a batter, the all-rounder has fared exceptionally well as the opener for the team.

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Himmat Singh from Delhi has replaced Marsh in the LSG Playing XI. The LSG vs GT IPL 22025 fixture would mark the IPL debut of the Delhi-based batter. Himmat Singh was picked by the franchise at the IPL 2025 mega auction for 30 Lakhs after his impressive performance at the Delhi Premier League. Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, will be without Glenn Phillips, who has reportedly returned to New Zealand following the groin injury he sustained during the SRH vs GT IPL 2025 match.
