Why is Mohit Sharma not playing the LSG vs DC IPL 2025 match? Check DC Playing XI

Lucknow Super Giants will be looking to avenge their earlier loss to Delhi Capitals as both teams are set to face off once again at the Ekana Cricket Stadium today. Courtesy of a brilliant last over from Avesh Khan, Lucknow Super Giants won their game against Rajasthan Royals by 2 runs. They would be desperate to continue winning momentum and climb to second spot on the table. As of now, LSG have managed to accumulate five wins in eight games. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals are sitting at the second spot on the table with five wins in seven games.

After four consecutive wins, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans snatched their winning momentum. In the last three games, Delhi have lost two games and it will be interesting to see how they fare against LSG today.  Meanwhile, Delhi’s skipper Axar Patel has won the toss and elected to bowl first. The visitors have made one change in the playing XI with Mohit Sharma making way for Dushmantha Chameera.

The former has been dropped from the playing XI, perhaps, due to poor returns in his previous few outings. Mohit Sharma has just picked one wicket in his last three games, returning with figures of 1/30, 0/38, and 0/40. The Sri Lankan pacer, Dushmantha Chameera will be making his debut for Delhi Capitals, today.

Here’s what Delhi skipper Axar Patel said at the toss: 

"We'll bowl. Red soil wicket and there was dew in the last game as well. We focused on what we did right and improved areas where we erred. We aren't thinking too much. Impact Player - we decide based on the situation. Mohit Sharma is out, Chameera is playing."
