Why is Rachin Ravindra not playing the CSK vs SRH IPL 2025 clash?

Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad would be desperate to collect two points to save themselves from elimination as the two teams are set to lock horns in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League 2025, today. The Yellow Army showcased an uncharacteristic performance this season, winning just two games out of eight played, so far. They are currently languishing right at the bottom of the points table. Another loss will take them closer to the exit gate. 

MS Dhoni and Co. are coming into the contest on the back of a crushing nine-wicket defeat to Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium. How they pick themselves from here and produce a fight remains to be seen. Meanwhile, SRH skipper Pat Cummins won the toss a little while ago and elected to bowl first. CSK skipper was unfortunate to have lost the toss as he would also have wanted to do the same because of the due coming in later. Interestingly, the Yellow Army have made three changes in their playing XI. 

Opener Rachin Ravindra has been dropped from the eleven and Dewald Brevis will be making his debut today. Deepak Hooda comes back at the expense of Vijay Shankar, while Sam Curran makes his return to the XI as well. The Englishman will be replacing Jamie Overton in the eleven. Rachin Ravindra has had a pretty disappointing season with the bat in the IPL 2025. In eight games, he has scored 191 runs at an average of 27.
