It's not other than young Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal, representing the Indian men’s national cricket team since 2023.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's cricketing journey is no less than an inspiration as he came from a normal middle-class family in Mumbai. He was born in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh as the fourth of six children, to Bhupendra Jaiswal, the owner of a small hardware store, and Kanchan Jaiswal, a housewife. However, to pursue cricket he moved to Mumbai at just 10 at Azad Maidan.

Despite shifting to Mumbai, the Southpaw batter faced several challenges as he used to work in a dairy shop in return for accommodation before selling Panipuri for a living. It has been said that fortune's favour the brave and this is what happened with brave Jaiswal, who left his home at the age of just 10 where he used to live in tents for three years, Jaiswal's cricketing potential was spotted in December 2013 by Jwala Singh, who ran a cricket academy in Santacruz. He provided Jaiswal with a place to stay, before becoming his legal guardian and obtaining his power of attorney.

Domestic Career

Jaiswal’s cricketing journey started when he scored 319 not out and took 13/99 in a Giles Shield match, an all-round record in school cricket in India. He scored 318 runs and became a player of the tournament at the 2018 Under-19 Asia Cup which India won.
