Yograj Singh, father of former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has recently made headlines by sharply criticizing MS Dhoni, alleging that Dhoni played a role in derailing Yuvraj's career. This criticism is part of a pattern, as Yograj Singh has previously expressed negative sentiments about Dhoni. Despite these allegations, it’s important to recognize Yuvraj Singh’s significant contributions to Indian cricket under Dhoni’s leadership. Yuvraj was instrumental in India's triumphs during the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup, both under Dhoni’s captaincy. His performances were crucial in these landmark victories for Indian cricket. However, Yograj Singh has taken a different view, claiming that Dhoni’s actions had a detrimental impact on Yuvraj’s career and life.

Yograj expressed that he could never forgive Dhoni for what he believes were damaging decisions that affected Yuvraj's professional trajectory. Additionally, he criticized Dhoni for allegedly impacting Yuvraj’s personal life negatively. Yograj also argued that Yuvraj deserved the Bharat Ratna for his remarkable achievements, including his battle with cancer while playing cricket. These statements have sparked a debate among cricket fans and analysts, reflecting the complex dynamics between players, their families, and the leadership within the sport. The discussion highlights the emotional and often contentious nature of cricketing careers and the impact of leadership decisions on players' lives.

"I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life - first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids," former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh told in a recent interview.

“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more. I dare everyone to give birth to a son like Yuvraj. Even Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have said in the past that there won't be another Yuvraj Singh. India should award him the Bharat Ratna for playing with cancer and winning the World Cup for the country," he added.

Yuvraj Singh, a celebrated figure in Indian cricket, had an illustrious career spanning from 2000 to 2017, during which he played 402 international matches. Over this period, Yuvraj amassed a remarkable 11,178 runs, including 17 centuries and 71 fifties across all formats of the game. His contributions were pivotal in numerous victories and he remains one of India’s all-time great cricketers.

Throughout his career, Yuvraj earned several accolades and played a crucial role in major triumphs, including India’s wins in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup. His performances on the field and his resilience, particularly his battle with cancer while continuing to play, have left a lasting impact on the sport. In recognition of his achievements and contributions to cricket, a movie is set to be made in Yuvraj Singh’s honor. This film will celebrate his remarkable career and personal journey, highlighting his significant role in Indian cricket and his enduring legacy as a cherished player and inspirational figure.
