The Premier League winter transfer window closed just six weeks ago, and already the race for the summer transfer window has begun. Clubs are actively preparing to secure their targets to strengthen their squads. Among the players attracting attention is Alexander Isak, with clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly targeting the striker. Both teams are in desperate need of a proven No. 9 with Premier League experience, and Isak, who is prolific in front of goal, perfectly fits the profile and is in high demand.

When asked about his future at St James' Park, Alexander Isak responded that he is not focused on the summer transfer window at this point. He mentioned that any discussions regarding his future will take place after the season has concluded. Isak also clarified that he has not yet held any talks with the club. He said:

Yeah, yeah. I think I've said, I'm not really thinking about the summer. But yeah, that'll probably be a talking point once the season is finished. We will really see, because no talks have been held yet

Talking about the future, Alexander Isak stated that he is not overly concerned about what lies ahead and emphasized that he is happy at Newcastle United. He highlighted the fact that the club is a contender for titles, pointing out that they are playing in their second Carabao Cup final in just three years. Isak also mentioned that the club has a real chance at glory, which is something he is eager to experience as a player. He said:

I don't really look too much or think too much about my future. I have said I am happy here and we are contenders for titles, which is what you want to win as a football player. We have been to one final and now we are in another one, so the chances are there

In the ongoing campaign, if not for Mohamed Salah’s prolific form and inhumane numbers, Isak would have been in the Golden Boot conversation. He has 19 goals and five assists to his name in the Premier League.

What next for Newcastle United?

Newcastle United will play Liverpool at Wembley Stadium in the Carabao Cup finals on 16th March, Sunday.
